Outings

For many participants, these trips are more than just a day away from home—they are an opportunity to reconnect with others, build friendships, and feel part of something uplifting.

A change of environment, even for a few hours, can make a meaningful difference to someone’s mood and wellbeing. The shared experience of travelling together, chatting on the journey, and exploring a destination as a group helps strengthen the sense of community that ConGens is known for.

Our trips are designed to be inclusive and accessible, supporting those who may face barriers such as mobility issues, lack of transport, or limited confidence in going out alone. Volunteers provide support to those who need help to get around or with communication.

By organising transport and creating a supportive atmosphere, we help individuals visit destinations they might not explore otherwise. These outings reflect ConGens’ mission to reduce isolation, promote independence, and provide safe, social, enjoyable experiences.

Past trips have included popular places like York, Southport, Kensington, London, Weston Super Mare, Bridgnorth, Blackpool, and Kew Gardens. Looking ahead, more exciting outings are planned for the upcoming months into 2027.
